What you'll build

A Claude Code setup that takes any outdated small-business website - boxy layout, walls of text, gray back-in-the-day design - and rebuilds it into a clean, modern site in about 5 minutes, using a website-remodel skill written by actual website designers and UI experts. I used it to redo my own site (I was paying Hostinger AI $20/month for a template that looked like everyone else's), then ran it on local HVAC companies, dentists, barber shops, and nail salons - most of them one-shot, no reiterations. A site of this quality would've cost a business $5-10K a couple years ago.

What you'll need

Step 1: Install the Website Remodel skill

Drop the skill into your Claude Code setup. It adds only a small entry to your CLAUDE.md, and Claude pulls the full skill whenever you ask it to remodel or improve a website. It ships with four built-in designs the skill author went deep on - and you can add your own designs on top. That should be the goal with every popular skill: add your own element and make it better.

Step 2: Remodel your first site

Give it a link and one line. For my own site, the whole prompt was:

Keep all the data, keep everything the same and just make it better.

One shot, no reiterations - moving parts, clean design, looks paid-for. For a cold target (I pulled an HVAC company off White Plains Google Maps):

Use the website remodel skill and make this website better. <link>

Toggle bypass mode and let it run. It'll ask a couple of questions - look direction ("clean and corporate"), where to keep the files. Four full sites took it 15-20 minutes total, about 5 minutes each.

Step 3: Deploy on GitHub + Netlify

Create a free GitHub repo - Claude connects with an API key and pushes it all by itself. Netlify hosts for free and auto-deploys every GitHub update. So revisions are just conversation: "change 'converts faster' to 'converts quicker' and push it to GitHub," and the new version is live in a couple of minutes.

Step 4: Connect your domain

Buy a $10-20/year domain on Namecheap or GoDaddy, change two records there and one in Netlify - ask Claude what to change and it walks you through it. My first time through the whole GitHub + Netlify + domain flow took 30-40 minutes; the only real reiteration work was the logo, wiring the contact form to my group email, and connecting the Retell AI link on my demo page so people could actually call the voice agent.

Step 5: Where to take it next

That's the whole loop: prompt in Claude → push to GitHub → Netlify auto-deploys → site is live. A site of this quality used to be a $5-10K job, and it's now 5 minutes and a sentence.

I later turned this skill into a fully automated pipeline - scrape small businesses with Apify, score their websites with Gemini, remodel the bad ones with parallel agents, auto-deploy, and cold-email the owners through Instantly. That's its own video and its own guide: "Built a Cold Email Machine with Claude Code." Good luck and happy building.
